Such is the legacy of the Supermarionation series and their place in 1960s culture that when Inspector Morse’s earlier cases were told in the ITV series Endeavour, his investigations lead him to a puppet film studio very similar to A.P. Films. A murder had taken place in front of the puppet stars of a fictional series, Moon Rangers. Newly filmed Supermarionation scenes were shot especially for this special project.
