Japanese Linking Material

Directed by: Alan Pattillo

Written by: Alan Pattillo

Undiscovered for four decades, a reel of film marked Japanese Linking Material was discovered in the archives in 2003. The film contained four short scenes at Commander Shore’s apartment, where video recordings of some of Stingray’s exploits are being shown to Admiral Denver. It is now believed that these segments were intended to link together four stories (Stingray, Emergency Marineville, An Echo of Danger and Raptures of the Deep) to form an extended ‘flashback’ episode, to be screened for a group of Japanese executives.
